Winner Medical Wins ITMF Sustainability & Innovation Award, Leading the Trend of Environmental Protection in Healthcare
On November 5, 2023, the ITMF Annual Conference was held in Keqiao, Shaoxing, Zhejiang. The conference focused on the theme of " Digitization and Circularity - Megatrends Shaping the Textile Industry" and explored the global transformation and cooperation of the textile industry. Nearly a thousand people including textile experts and business leaders from nearly 60 countries and regions around the world, domestic experts, leaders of large enterprises and institutions, representatives of government in textile industry clusters, and representatives of news media attended the meeting.
The International Textile Manufacturers Federations (IFMF), as an important platform for enhancing industry consensus and strengthening global value chain cooperation, has gathered constructive forces from the textile industry in various countries (regions) and effectively promoted the openness, integration, innovation, and sustainable development of the global textile industry. In 2021, the IFMF approved the establishment of the IFMF Sustainability and Innovation Award, which aims to recognize the sustainable and innovative achievements of the textile industry and award enterprises, organizations, or individuals who have significantly improved the textile manufacturing industry in the comprehensive field of innovation and sustainable development. In 2023, a total of five projects worldwide received the IFMF Sustainability and Innovation Award, including the "Biodegradable Nano Mask" project by Winner Medical, which received this honor.
The majority of the components of Winner Medical's biodegradable mask are made of bio-based materials and can biodegrade with a degradation rate of ≥95% in just 180 days, reducing pollution and carbon emissions to the environment. The inner and outer layers of the mask are made of natural cotton materials, while the filtering layer uses "Nano Fiber Filtering Membrane" instead of traditional melt-blown fabric. The "Nano Fiber Filtering Membrane" is a degradable and renewable bio-based material that not only degrades but also performs more stably in terms of filtration performance and air permeability, allowing the mask to maintain its protective performance while improving wearing comfort.
As a leading company in China's health industry, Winner Medical actively responds to the country's dual-carbon policy, continuously invests in the research and development of new products, and gradually promotes "cotton" for its entire product line, leading the trend of medical environmental protection with practical actions and promoting the sustainable development of the medical industry.
